look who’s back!!! : )

well, i don’t know about you, but i think that i’ve had a long enough break! i didn’t think that it would be this long….tomorrow will be exactly 13 months since i last wrote here…. i know, wth right??? since i’m way rusty and don’t want to bore you all (ha like there’s anyone still reading this…) i will just do a super condensed “top 13″ of what’s happened…..

#1. the whole family (wu’s party of 5 and tobias’ party of 3) went to hawaii for a weeklong vacation…..TWICE!!!

#2. i finished the entire 13 weeks (did not miss one day!!!) of P90X + a little over 2 extra weeks for good measure…..

#3. i have not worked out since!!!!! and i have the body to prove it!!! lol

#4. i acquired not one, but TWO new addictions…..

ok, get your mind out of the gutter….. they are games on my iphone that i cannot stop playing!!!!! WWF and the newest one is a real mah jong game (not the solitaire kind) and yes, my current ranking is… 1st place with $993 (not real money…) in winnings, 73 games won, 7 rounds won, you get the idea….

#5. if i don’t take my kids to vegas before school starts, next wednesday sept. 8th, this will be the FIRST year since jonathan has been born that we do NOT go….

#6. isabella has had 2 missing gaps where the permanent teeth are supposed to be for almost a year and a half…..they are still not in yet!!!

#7. jonathan wanted to match his sister, so he “made” his 2 bottom canine teeth come out in the same week. they were NOT even loose at all…. i think that he was irritated that they were ever so slightly loose and decided to just wiggle the hell out of them….. both times happened wayyyy past his bedtime…. i was up late watching tv and he comes down and hands me the tooth and says, “good job, tooth all gone.” WTH?!?!?!

#8. i’m really into thongs….ummm the kind for your FEET!!! “yellow box” is currently my favorite, most comfortable and cute too!!!

#9. isabella and i donated our hair to locks of love in march. this was her first time and my 3rd since 2004. i’ve now “donated” almost 35″ of hair!!!

#10. to make some money, i’ve sold some “gifts” from danny to me on ebay…..after ALL fees and shipping costs, i made over $600….

#11. somehow, i got sucked into a PTA executive board position for my kids’ school….. why me??? 1st meeting before school starts is this friday at 8:30am….. who gets up that early????

#12. i’ve recently bought 2 fresh things (that i’ve NEVER ever bought before) that make me feel “like a real mom.” that would be corn on the cob and a whole watermelon….. it was the acts of shucking the corn and cutting up the watermelon which makes me feel this way…. i know, i’m soooo gay!!!

#13. the entire month of august went by and i did not take my kids to disneyland at all….. **GASP** to remedy that horrendous parenting, we will go either tonight, or tomorrow or friday…. **if we don’t go to las vegas….**

karaoke……

so i am not a big fan of karaoke…..especially when it involves me doing the actual singing…..i suck at lyrics and even when the words are right there in front of me such as the case in karaoke, i STILL don’t get them right……*sigh* there are only like 2 songs that i know all the words too and that even impressed and amazed my brother, who by the way is GREAT with lyrics. in case you were wondering, the 2 songs are the theme from animaniacs and take me out to the ball game…..lol.

last night was my big multi year high school reunion at the diamond club in angel stadium…..i know!!!! i didn’t want to go just because of the location…. i didn’t stay until the end….those drunkards actually drank ALL the alcohol in the stadium…..the manager actually said that has never happened!!!!!! don’t look at me, i don’t drink and drive…..ever!!!! but anyways, i came home and was watching some of my tivo’d shows and while watching ellen, i made a bold decision…… my future…. whomever he may be….. boyfriend and i WILL be singing this song in a karaoke duet!!! good luck to him as i really suck, so he must be good enough for the two of us…..

these are just my random thoughts….

let’s start with myspace….it seemed like a good idea at the time, but now i really just keep it open, well i don’t really know why since it’s boring and the same people do bulletins and i rarely even go on it, let alone look at any of my friends’ pages. when i first got my myspace, my brother had like 150ish friends and it was all about trying to get more friends then he had. i did not succeed in that and so it made me sad….kind-of sad…not go-slit-your-wrist kind of sad!!! if you add me as your friend, i probably will accept….unless you are a stranger!…. but i will not be into the “relationship” and will probably not do anything to cultivate it…..harsh? no, honest…..

next we have facebook, or as i refer to it, crackbook. i had never even heard of it and when hanju **also known as eye candy** invited/asked me to be his friend, i really didn’t know what i was getting into….this was right around august 2007!!! in the beginning, i didn’t have that many friends and once again my brother had waaayyyyy more friends than i. back then he was probably around the 150-200 mark. it was all new to me and people were adding me as well as i was adding them as fast as i could….**rolling my eyes now** only a select handful of people were really interesting to me, but not having that many friends, i would spend a lot of time on all my friends’ pages looking (spying???) at what they were up to and reading everybody’s wall posts. back then there was a “counter” that said exactly how many posts you had. i remember being cory’s 200th wall post! : ) i don’t know why they got rid of that feature…. it’s probably so losers like me won’t have yet another thing to try to compare with their brother!!! haha….but even though he had more friends than me, i had more wall posts!!! : ) he would always tell me that the majority of his friends were his little jr. high students. you see, fb is all about the younger kids!!! my friend joyce’s son matt is my friend, and he is in high school….he has 779 friends!!! (i just checked…lol) you would think (or at least i thought that) with that many friends, there is no real time to dedicate to all of them, let alone to go and wish happy birthday to everyone of them. well, he made the time to wish me a hb on my birthday and in the morning too!! i was very surprised and i wonder if he takes the time to wish all of his friends a hb or not. speaking of birthdays, when you are my friend, the 1st time it is your birthday, i will wish you a hb because that is the right thing to do…but when/if you don’t do it when it is my birthday, then i won’t do it next year…unless i really like you, or you’ve done it non-facebook… ie: text messages, emails, phone calls, in person….etc…yesss…it was just my birthday last week, but that’s ok…..i got enough well wishes from the people who really count!!! : ) thank you steve for the picture of the HOT hockey guy who now plays for the ducks…..maybe i might like them now…..no that will never happen!!! hahaha
ok, getting a little sidetracked here…i feel that when a person 1st gets a fb, they kind of want to get as many friends as they can so that it will appear that they are “popular” since there is no other word to describe it. i also feel that after about 30 or 40, the need slows down for a while and they are quite happy with that number because of all the time wasted on fbing. then after a little while, they start to add people like crazy again and so the cycle continues. my friend teresa told me that, “if i even make eye contact with you, i will add you as my friend.” she currently has 498….yes, i just checked… a few weeks ago, her status was that she was upset that friend #493 had dropped her. ummm just like her, i also keep track of how many friends i have and when that number changes, i do some investigating too!!! as of today, i have been dropped by 6 different people and yes, i do wonder what i did to make them decide to drop me. actually, two of them shut down their fb, another person is a celebrity so i didn’t really know him, another girl is a friend of a friend and i only met her once at a party, but the last 2 are people that i know and it really made me go hmmmm since they both still have a fb. at first i wanted to message her to ask if i did something to her, but i didn’t & to this day i just i don’t really know why. i actually recently saw one who had shut his down and i asked him why? he told me that it was “too much drama!!!”…with ex-girlfriends & his wife…who is still on fb & is one of my friends…lol. maybe the others were “cleaning house” and just getting rid of people that they didn’t really know/like/only had eye contact with… i often want to do that, but am kind of too chicken since i don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. so now, i am just more selective on who i add and accept. my brother will always have a higher number (462) than me (203) and i am ok with that now. so don’t worry, i won’t drop you.

i know that this is waaaayyyy long, but i have to mention twitter…. i have a twitter that i use solely for news & information. i only follow 2 “real” people… once again hanju (since when i signed up, he was my only contact who had an account) and plus because he’s eye candy and i <3 him….hahaha… and harlan who is my TG (ticket guy!!!). i follow dodgers, lakers, kings, disneyland, jimmy fallon, ellen and anderson cooper. i have some friends who are following me, but i have not followed them since i don't want to get sucked into it like fb. i also have some totally random people following me and that's weird. actually, teresa followed me and then when i didn't follow her back, she dropped me. it's ok…it's not the same as when i get dropped by someone on fb….lol.

statistics…..

one of the things i really like about this wordpress blog is the stats that only i can see. it shows how many “hits” i get every day, it makes a little graph for the week, and the month. it calculates my daily, weekly and monthly averages. i am not aware if anyone can subscribe to my blog or not, but my numbers always seem to go waaayyyy up after i write a new post. hmmm….. since the start of my brother’s new blog, he has written about 8 new posts to my 1. i realize it is not a competition, but my history has shown that i am good for 1 to 2 posts a month and yesssss, they would be quite “wordy” as soooo many people have commented on. his last comment/critique was to make it shorter as to keep my audiences’ attention span. i don’t know if i can do that because i am a very wordy person and often have trouble with telling something very briefly. in fact, “ok, get to the point” is a phrase that i very often hear from my friends….lol. well, you know what? i’m not making you read this. i don’t really know why i even feel the need to share my thoughts and feelings with all the internet to read about anyways. but since i’ve started to write, i do like seeing my numbers go up and i especially like when i get comments…..maybe it is some sort of popularity thing….i don’t know…..

ok, but enough of that stat talk…..how about some probability? hahahah….i had a class in college on s & p but i think that i dropped it…. too boring…. there has been a lot of stuff going on around here…. jonathan started summer school after his long 4 day summer vacation….**rolling my eyes here** and then he proceeded to miss the second day because we thought he had pink eye. then after reading about it on the internet, i thought i had it and isabella too…..but after a visit to the pediatrician, i was wrong! : ) i really thought that he had it for sure since he woke up looking like quasimodo with a huge swollen eye!!! the doctor explained that he had an allergic reaction (to the dumb cats that danny brought him to…..**more eye rolling here**) and he got the puffy and redness because he rubbed his eyes sooo much. he was given a prescription for an antibiotic which costed me $139.99 for the generic kind!!!! sheesh…..drugs are expensive….. at least he is getting better and is back at school and isabella has started attending the all exclusive and hard to get into “mommy school.” i don’t think that she likes her teacher very much…..lol.

speaking of my brother, i have wasted HUGE amounts of time this week….. thanks to him telling me to buy & play sally’s spa. i saw the free version, so i downloaded that first. then after playing that for a while i decided to splurge the .99 price (it’s on sale right now, i think it’s normally $4.99) and buy the full sized version. let me just tell you that i have played it straight for at least 4 times until my phone died…..omgosh soooo dang addicting….. **sigh** but i haven’t played it for a couple of days now…..

well, giving into yet more peer pressure, i will end with some more stats….
the dodgers are currently 21 games above 500, their record is 47 wins to 26 losses, they are at .644% and they have THE best record still in all of baseball……. : )

confession time……

my brother just got a new wordpress blog and since he put a link on his page to this one, i have the immense guilt to write a new post….mind you i was already feeling guilty since my last post was over 4 weeks ago….but now this was just the little nudge that i needed to do this. it’s not even a good time right now as i am still very busy….but that will all be over as of this thursday since they are out of school that day. i am actually making doris’ famous chex mix right now and in between stirring the batches in the oven i decided to sit down and write. making handmade cards for the teachers, aides, speech lady, principal, bus drivers, etc. has also kept me busy lately. not to mention the cute little tags that i made for all the cellophane bags of chex mix, but enough of that…..

i know that the last time i wrote about my frustrations on the internet and after giving up for a good 3+ weeks, i have the good fortune to say that i have successfully bought/won A LOT of leapster stuff for my kids, but i still don’t have that damn junie b. jones game as $60-$70 for the used cartridge only is still and always will be outrageous to me…..**sigh**…..just gotta keep on looking and hoping one day that it will be meant to be……in the mean time, this week should have lots of packages coming in the mailbox!!! : )

so, i do have a confession to make……… i reallize that i am writing this all on my own under no duress to confess and i also realize that once it is written, my lovely brother will no doubt once again renounce my “ultimate lakers fan” status……but i don’t care since i’m not big on lying and sometimes it’s just better to get the truth out there….
so with that being said, it is no secret that i am a HUGE sports fan…..you all know, los angeles kings, los angeles dodgers and los angeles lakers. last friday isabella and i watched game 7 of the stanley cup finals and since the kings were not playing…..they haven’t played past the regular season in soooo long…. we were just watching as fans of hockey, the stanley cup and of the ULTIMATE game number 7. now my little girl is very smart and knows who to root for, but when none of my teams are playing, she always asks me “who do we want to win?” well i have a couple of reasons for telling her to cheer for the penguins…..the 1st reason is because luc robitaille is/was my very favorite player and for a brief period he was traded from the kings to pittsburg along with another favorite marty mcsorley. while he was on that team, my bartender friend had gotten me an autographed game stick of his and it has the penguins coloring and logos…..the second reason is i hate those red wing fans because they would come into the forum and wear their crap and be sooo obnoxious during the kings games…… annoying!!!
it was really cool for the penguins to win in detroit in front of all their fans!!!! isabella liked looking at the pictures that my brother had taken with the stanley cup!!! : ) every single sporting game we watch she always asks me who is going to win the “trophy” and i always have to explain that there is no trophy until the end of the playoffs….
it brings me a lot of trepidation to write about the dodgers as every single time i ever brag about how great they are doing, bad things happen….. so my fingers will not betray me, but we all KNOW how happy i am because well, i just love them soooooo much!!!!!!!! even jonathan will say “mommy watch dodgers game” when i am putting them to bed every single night!!!! he might have autism, but he knows all about the dodgers!!!! : )

ok….i know that you all are wondering about my big confession that i have yet to reveal and even though i wanted to share with you all the stuff up there, it was a delay tactic…..you know that i love to procrastinate…..ok ok ok…..**big sigh**…..here it goes…..please be kind with your harsh words alex…… this “ultimate lakers fan” DID NOT watch a single second of game 5 including any coverage of the celebrating/interview/analysis!!!!!!!! i knew when the game was on and i was home and the cable was working and i was not watching something else really!!!, but i just chose not to watch it…..i can’t really explain it, i just wasn’t feeling it……my #1 manny wijay asked me what i thought about game #3 (the only one that they lost) and i told him that i was happy for orlando because i think that it is nice for the home team to witness such a momentous game and after paying all the money to go home happy that their team won. i also explained that i dislike “sweeps” because the series finishes waaaayyyyy tooooo fast and that i really like it to go to game 7 as long as my team wins in the end. AND he agreed with me!!!!! AND he’s a gigantic lakers fan!!!!!! cause now look, see there is no more basketball along with no more hockey. BUT we still have the dodgers and baseball to watch!!!!

i know, i know, i know…..it’s already may 18th and i have not written anything since april?!?!?! i actually wasn’t even planning on writing anything right now…..but i was soooo frustrated with my mad internet search that i decided to check out my blog stats…. the stats are pretty low, but probably because i haven’t written anything new or interesting! i cannot guarantee that this will be either, but let’s just see what happens……

i guess we can start with a little recap of what has happened in may….isabella performed in her second show, alice in wonderland, and that was busy but a lot of fun too!!! there was a lot of ummm flirting going on backstage since we had more ummm free time with not such a crazy flying/hooking schedule like we did for the wizard of oz. but since the show has now ended, so has the flirting…..at least for now…..

i went to TWO of the lakers round 2 playoff games……game 2 on may 6th and game 7 yesterday, may 17th. those were a lot of fun and my record is still 100% for them winning the games that i attend!!! my TG (ticket guy) just texted me to see if i wanted to go to game 1 of round 3 (tomorrow night) but i had to remind him that i was going to be sitting in his 2nd row behind home plate seats for the dodgers/mets game tomorrow night!!! he told me that i need to go to all the lakers home games so that they will continue to win, but i informed him that i am not of the trump-like status like he is!!! i am actually sooooo excited for the dodgers game that i can’t even begin to explain just how much…… the only negative thing is that i have not yet secured my babysitting and when i went to the last 2 lakers games, jonathan ESCAPED from my house!!!! he totally just walked out the front door without my babysitters knowing about it….. both times he was at a neighbor’s house (different ones) and so now i gotta install some kind of door lock thing at the top of my very tall front door or i need to change the lock to a key/dead bolt one. i don’t want to do either because i don’t have a drill for the screw holes to do the door lock and i don’t want to have another house key when all the locks currently use the same key. i guess the price will determine which one i end up doing….

oh and i was a very bad girl for the 1st lakers game i went to……i had a total of 5 shots and i was soooooo drunk!!! remember i was celebrating being officially better off (aka as single). there was a lot of naughty text messaging going on which was really surprising to me since i’m still not quite sure how i managed to type the words out being soooo drunk!!! i have not had any alcohol since my friend mark’s birthday last september and i fell down and got grass stains on my knees that night….it is safe to say that until i am in las vegas, i will not be drinking anytime in the near future!!!

i went to my last mops meeting after 5 straight years and did that free up more time for me? no! i had to “do” 2 $100 baskets for their classrooms as well as decorate 2 guitars….being room mom sucks! i still haven’t gotten the amount of money that i put in from the other parents….actually, they are the ones that suck!!! then this week we are in the oh-so-lovely “teachers appreciation week” with week long stuff (aka crap) for me to do…..but speaking of guitars, on mother’s day i played guitar hero for the first time ever and let me just say…. i’m working out my budget so i can get me one of those playstation 3s…

so if you’ve read everything i’ve written today, you are probably curious as to what my internet search was…..well, let me just share my frustrations with you! isabella is really into junie b. jones…..who the hell is this junie b. jones anyways????? well let me tell you, she is this really naughty kindergartener turned 1st grader and there are a series of paperback books written all about her escapades. being the excellent (HA) mother that i am, i ordered (what i thought was) the complete set thru the school’s book club (because that is what it said, the complete set). the books came last friday and today i decided to put them all in order so that i could read them to her….well guess what? they didn’t have all the books….2 were missing, or left out since there was 25 books that came. so i decided that i would try the internet (ie: half.com, ebay, scholastic.com, etc) to get them for her…..not available and then i found 2 more that we don’t have! then while i was on ebay, i decided to see if i could get the retired madagascar game for jonathan’s leapster…. but they wanted way too much for a used game!!! then to my horror, there is a junie b. jones game for leapster and they wanted between $30-40 for that stupid hard to find used game!!! i decided to check out toysrus, target, and leapfrog.com but nope! so ALL afternoon i have been unsuccessful in trying to buy something that will really surprise either of my kids. : (

the kids just came home and jonathan keeps telling me, “no more computer” so being the excellent (HA) mother that i am, i will just end like this…..no frills, no suspense, no funny stuff, no nothing….just the 2 little words that he loves to say, “the end.” : )

i’m back . . . . .

hi . . . it’s been a few weeks since my last post and i’m doing good, just crazy busy as we are in tech week for her new show, “alice in wonderland.” we’ve been at the theatre everyday since last saturday. she had an 8 1/2 hour rehearsal on sunday and i started “hooking” again!!! there aren’t as many of us hooking, but this show is not like the last one where there were sooooo many flyers and we had to rush to get harnesses off of kids to put them onto new ones thru out the entire show. that was major crazy as we had to do 4 kids at a time with very little time to do it. so far this week i’ve been able to handle it with a lot of “free” time to talk and hang out with the stage crew, fly guys and even sit out in the front row to watch the run thru. it’s been a lot of fun messing around backstage, but shhh that will be our little secret ok? : ) it is an amazing show, soooo cute and funny too….actually, some characters are funnier than others as different kids share the lead roles. isabella has 2 different lead performances as well as being in the ensemble cast as a flower and a card ~ 3 of diamond. she is the queen’s hedgehog ball in the croquet game (sun. 5/3 and fri. 5/8 matinee) and she gets to fly as a card (fri. 5/1 matinee, sat. 5/2, fri. 5/8 matinée and sat. 5/9 matinee). omgosh, the croquet game is the best and the little hedgehog balls are too cute!!! if you can, come and support the arts and see a show!!! let me know so i can text you during the show to let you know when she is coming out and stuff.

besides her show, mops started back up and next wed (5/6) will be my very last one after FIVE straight years!!! i was very busy this time as i was a table leader again as well as the craft coordinator….yesterday (4/29) was the last time i had to prep crafts for all the girls. we got back from rehearsal and i stayed up until 2am….of course i was watching tv too…i had to see dwts AND celebrity apprentice which has just gotten sooo good!!! out of the final four, i’m liking jesse james….i don’t know if he will win, but i don’t like the others that are left. plus his charity gave money to the kids in long beach and they actually showed him going to millikan high school to drop of the check and it was cool because isabella’s shows are at millikan high school. it’s funny because the friday morning matinee/field trip shows are during school hours, so they have people at the gates to make sure that the high schoolers don’t sneak out since the entire school is on “lock down.” but back to mops, i don’t think i’ll be that sad for it to end as much as i’ll be relieved since i was very stressed trying to plan crafts, buy the supplies, and then prep them during all these months of divorce stuff.

speaking of divorce stuff, i have not received my “official papers” yet and i also have not been back to pick up all of my paperwork from my lawyer’s office. i don’t think it’s even ready yet since he’s also very busy, just like our judge. for those of you wondering, i have been a very good girl for these last 2 weeks, but we did end up texting yesterday because i was trying to see if he was going to make it to any of her shows. he’s not going to be able to come, and i texted him that i was going to “beat him up” but not for that reason hahaha. we are actually going to a lakers playoff game (to celebrate my divorce…) but we still don’t know what day that game will be since we are waiting for the houston/portland series to finish up. it should be some time next week, but i really hope that it doesn’t end up being the same day/time as one of her shows….i’m thinking tues, wed, or thurs night…at least that is what i’m hoping for!!!

ok, i think that i’ve managed to get you all caught up with what’s been going on with me. it’s the end of april and the dodgers are in first place . . . . and for all you angels fans out there, it’s still not too late to switch sides…..

the end of “a lifetime of happiness”…….

i tried to go to bed early monday night, but i just couldn’t fall asleep. i got up at 5 to start getting everything ready. by the time i was at the courthouse i already had a lot of emails, texts and facebook messages from my friends. once again there was a lot of waiting around….my lawyer then showed me their “counter offer” and it was a total joke!!! i was sooo angry as it looked like there was going to be no agreements made and because our judge is so incredibly busy (he had 31 cases scheduled just for this morning!!!) it looked like it was going to be postponed again!!! then my lawyer and i headed to the cafeteria around 9:30 to discuss things before we sat at a table with the ex and his lawyer. well you know what? all the prayers that everyone was saying really worked because we managed to agree on everything! the new stuff was written up by his lawyer and then we went thru it to make sure it was all ok and just before 1pm i signed all the papers. my lawyer and i walked to the judge’s room and he slid the papers under the door so that when the judge returned from lunch, he could just sign off on them. i had been very worried that i would cry when it was all over and my lawyer knew that so he kept trying to keep my spirits up by making me laugh and stuff. i ended up going back to his office and i had some more fun with him and his staff. i left after about an hour and was still trying to be strong. on the drive home, i was listening to “shattered glass” by britney spears http://www.lyrics.com/index.php/artists/lyric/britney-spears-lyrics-shattered-glass-t-15218516 & a few tears came down. then when i got home, my mom really wanted to “talk” and i knew that i had to tell her what the details were, but all i really wanted to do was go upstairs to my room to be by myself. at first she was pretty angry and it was not good but then she managed to calm down so we could talk. after we were done, she called her oldest brother to ask him about the financial ramifications. then she had me talk to him and that is when the tears came down. after we hung up, all she wanted to do was hold me and let me continue to cry. she left awhile ago and i just can’t seem to stop the tears from coming. i know that it is all for the best and i actually got a really good settlement, (my lawyer was very happy with the outcome) so i shouldn’t be crying but i think that it has just taken soooo incredibly long that i just need to let the tears fall…..

15) Would you rather go to Tokyo or Paris? well, they both have a disney park, but i would have to say tokyo because that is where hello kitty lives! : )

16) What are you looking forward to this summer? going swimming at the pool, dodgers games, disneyland while everyone is blacked out & lots of trips to las vegas!!!!! : )

17) What do you do to relax? i paint my nails because while they are wet i can’t do anything but sit & wait for them to dry.
